We are a group of ladies who meet on the first Tuesday of each month in All Saints Church. Our meetings start at 2pm. We have a guest speaker, followed by tea, coffee, biscuits and a chat!
We also have a sales table - the proceeds from this raises money for Traidcraft and also our own funds. Our subs are £7 a year and there is a small charge for a raffle ticket and refreshments.
New members are always welcome!

Latest news - details of our September meeting
Val led our opening prayer as usual and she told us that Cancer Research had written to thank us for the donation we made in July in memory of Sheila Whitehouse. Val also brought us up to date with her plans for 2018. She is planning a visit to Tissington in May which could include a tour of the Hall. The full cost of a coach and a visit would be approx £21 and would take a full day. Food for thought Ladies!
Our speaker for September was Margaret Harrison, who most of us remember. Her topic of Good Morning Mother was not quite what we thought it would be! She told us of her time in 2000 when she was a newsreader on Radio Nottingham. She always opened her comments with the phrase ‘Good Morning Mother’ to alert her Mum who was a bit deaf and catch her attention. Margaret’s instructions were to talk about Nottingham, which knows very well from many years as a Blue Badge Guide. She would also include ‘silly’ jokes and lots of history. Her memories went back a long way and she had seen many changes in her lifetime. She was as entertaining as ever!
